The steed of choice for the kobold cavalry of Angukar and Sholdezar. Wyverns are a breed of pseudo-dragons created by the priests of the Dragon Gods. Wyverns were formed from dragonstock over a long period of time. They vary from their true cousins in appearance. A wyvern stands up to 2.5 meters at the shoulder when upright. They have a wingspan of up to 4 meters, and a total length including the tail of up to 4.5 meters. Wyverns are unable to fly, as their wings are vestigial. A wyvern’s forelimbs are also vestigial. They held tight to the creature’s chest during most activities. They do have claws along their wings, which are used in hunting or in combat. Wyverns do not have the fire breath of a proper dragon, but their bite is particularly potent. A wyvern bite wound is likely to cause massive infection. The tip of a wyvern’s tail is sharp and pointed. It is common practice to place an armoured sting upon the tail, coated with caustic material. Each wyvern can carry one rider, and fights alongside that rider. They keep much of the base intellect of their true cousins. Wyverns will bond with their riders, making for a potent duo on the battlefield.
